When you would like to tender new assets or the maintenance of existing assets, different parts of your organisation may have distinct requirements and wishes. Think of demands from the business plans (capacity, expandability, environmental), from the operation (availability, operation, safety, ergonomics), from the maintenance (monitoring potentials, maintainability, applied technology). There are also requirements from legislation and regulations. In addition, stakeholders such as customers, the regulator, or shareholders may have wishes. Finally, there are demands and requirements from the project itself, such as the available time and budget.
