GVB is a service providing organisation that strives to be the preferred transport company in Amsterdam. This involves four issues: quality of service, growth, environmental load and market conformity. At the request of GVB, Adrie Pouwer conducted a benchmark study in the field of maintenance and came up with proposals for further performance improvement.
To do this, Adrie Pouwer analysed the Key Performance Indicators including costs, availability and reliability. The performance level and underlying factors were analysed and an expert judgement was provided regarding the most suitable maintenance management method.
The result of the analysis was a quantitative assessment regarding the level of market conformity. By providing concrete proposals, Adrie Pouwer illustrated how future performance can be further improved and how GVB can reach the top of the market.
