On November 3, 2016 the seminar "Asset Management Control" took place. This seminar is organised yearly in cooperation with Dutch Defence.

An update of ISO 55002 is in development including SAMP, finance and risk management. ISO 55000 and ISO 55001 remain unchanged.

On September 9, 2016 at NEN the ISO 55001 Certification Scheme was presented. The certification Scheme states what requirements certification bodies shall meet and how they shall carry out ISO 55001 certification. 

On September 8, 2016 the assosiation "Stadswerk” organized a knowledge sharing event in the field of asset management with IPWEA (Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia). An interesting day where theory and practice come together.

After two years of experience with the ISO 55000 series for asset management there have been calls to revise this standard. For ISO 55002 the revision process already started.

While ISO 55001 has been around for almost two years, organizations in the Netherlands still cannot be officially certified to this standard. The Certification Scheme, that was approved on November 6, 2015, changes all that.

At 12 March 2014 NEN organizes a seminar dedicated to the new ISO 55000 standard.

On January 10 2014, ISO published the new ISO 55000 standard.

At October 10 2013, the AMC Centre organizes the Asset Management Control seminar.

September 25 2013, the NVDO organizes a congress on the area of performance management.

Adrie Pouwer has obtained the Diploma in Asset Management, issued by the renowned Institute of Asset Management (IAM).

From August 24 to August 26 2013, the Institute of Asset Management held a conference on the area of asset management.

From April 29 to May 3 2013, the fifth meeting if ISO working group PC 251 took place in Calgary, Canada.

At April 1 2013, the new Dutch Tender Act has taken effect.

At March 6 2013, the NVDO and Traduco organized the congress called “The power of asset management”.

December 2012 the European Federation of National Maintenance Societies (EFNMS) published the “European Vision Document Physical asset Management”.

From 10 to 14 October 2011, the second formal meeting of ISO Working Group PC251was held in Arlington, Virginia, USA.

On August 15, 2011, RET (the Rotterdam public transportation company) opened its new Beverwaard depot.

The Institute of Asset Management has accepted Adrie Pouwer as a full member.

On April 21, 2011, NVRB organises a symposium called “Asset Management in the Public Sector”.

From 29 to 31 March 2011 there will be an international exhibition and conference in Amersfoort in the area of railway technology called, “the Rail-Tech Europe”.

On March 4, 2011, the first official meeting of ISO PC251 Working Group was held in Melbourne.

September 2010, UIC presented the "Guidelines for the Application of Asset Management in Railway Infrastructure Organisations".

From 15 to 18 June 2010, the first (informal) meeting of ISO PC251 Working Group was held in London.
